Sky Talk Unlimited

Couldn't find any info about 'Sky Talk Unlimited' on here. Has anyone had any experience with it?

5 pounds a month for unlimited landline calls to 01/02 numbers up to one hour per call. Sounds like a reasonable deal to me. Any thoughts?

Do you have normal Sky tv? If so the free Sky Talk you can get with it give you free calls to landlines at off peak times i think. Do you use the phone a lot in the daytime?

Use 18185 during the day, calls are 5p each, any length.

Use Primus Saver Option 2 off peak, calls are free, ie: no monthly fee.

As MercilessKiller says it boils down to how many calls you make and when. Check your last few bills and see.

Sky Talk Freetime (no additional fee - but you have to maintain a Sky TV subscription) gives free UK 01/02 calls of up to an hour evenings and weekends.

Primus Saver Option 2 (no monthly fee) gives free UK 01/02 calls of up to 90 minutes evenings and weekends.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

If you make over 100 calls to 01 / 02 numbers during the day each and every month, then it's not bad.

Sky Talk, BT, TalkTalk, Virgin and a few other class daytime as 06:00 - 18:00

Primus class daytime as 08:00 - 18:00 - So you get 2 extra hours per weekday of free calls, compared to others offering evening and weekend calls.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I signed up to the plan a few months ago. No problems so far. It is worth it if you make lots of calls (as stipulated by earlier post). I tend to use it more to call abroad (Europe, Australia and US) - which is great !

I signed up to Primus through USwitch last March for the free evening and weekend deal getting the discount as promised. Now I'm on the same tariff that charges £2.54 monthly but now No discount as I've had the promised 12 month rebate. Has anyone changed to the Saver Option 2 which gives the same deal (free evening and weekend calls) but without the monthly fee? If so did you have to cancel the original deal first or will Primus move you over if you ask?

Also I'm with Sky and see they do a free evening and weekend deal, but when I tried to sign up online it's showing a one off fee of £40 which defeats the object. Has anyone any experience of signing up to the Sky deal and did you have to pay the one off fee?

    Thanks for any info.
