Video Compression Software

A few years ago - I used some freeware to compress some videos to a specific size (and format) - that was input in to the options ...
I have a number of separate videos that I am trying to fit onto a single DVD
Does anyone have any idea what the software may have been ?

No - Nero is just a burner - doesn't have the facility to set sizes - does it ?

If you try to put say three video files on one disc - Nero will compress the files to suit the size of the disc.

As an aside - Can't you use a usb stick instead of burning a Disc?

I need to fit about 7Gb of uncompressed files on to 4.7Gb DVD !!!
