Plugged it into an infected PC?
Asking for a password for all documents or the complete drive?
Possibly now linked to a user profile on a computer? Do you log in on the other computers you plug it into?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks for the reply. I have now found that if I plug it into the pc where I originally saved the documents it doesnt ask for the password.
Your comment about it being linked to a user profile is interesting. I have realised that I was only asked for the password after I used it on my company laptop which was used by someone else before me and still has some of their settings.
At least I can access it now. I may take the documents off, restore it to factory settings and avoid using it with my Company laptop in future!0 -
Some companies used a feature called Bitlocker to protect laptops ect from having information transferred to and from drives.
Certainly Windows XP had it and I believe that Win 7 versions higher than home basic has it as well.
Looks like the company laptop has been configured with it or something akin to it rather than a problem with your pen drive."It's nice to be important but more important to be nice"
