Are you sure you mean 1000kg of cement? thats a heck of a lot of cement particularly if you're planning to use it with 1000kg of sand.!0

we sell them at £40 a bag,but i can get them for about £23 on my account0

mmmm, puzzled , well a builder told me i need 4 x1000kg bags to slab my garden -which only requires 101 slabs (so its not that big)0

Cement is normally sold in 25kg bags, unless you've got your own silo, in which case you might get a 20 tonne load, in which case you probably also operate a fleet of concrete wagons.
A 1000kg bag of loose cement would be a 1000kg block of hard (and useless) cement within hours of it getting damp. It would also get quite warm!
25kg bags cost just under £4 per bag at the moment, so 1000kg woiuld cost you approx £150-£160.
1000kg would allow you to make approx 4 cubic metres of concrete and would require approx 9 tonnes of sand and aggregate to go with it!
For slab laying, to go with 1000kg of sand you would need approx 7 bags of cement to give you a 1:6 mix.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

okay ignore cement(my ignorance) but is 4x 1000kgs of sand too much for 101 slabs?, i must point out i see loads and loads of these 1000kg sand bags(yes the really big ones that need a truck with a hoist? to lift them) outside houses in my area having buliding work done0

Assuming your slabs are 600mm x 600mm and you are laying them on a 50mm thick bed, then 4 x 1000kg bags will be right.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
