Lost funeral plan

Hi
My father died recently and I know that both my parents had taken out Funeral plans. Unfortunately, my Mother is suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's and cannot remember anything about them. I am unable to find the paperwork. Does anyone know how I might go about tracking them down please?
Thanks

Sorry, Sad times and i know how stressful it can get.
Check bank statements? Filed away safely? Bank, Solicitor or Executor of the will perhaps?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I am so sorry you lost your dad, how do you know for sure about the funeral plans, mum, if she is in the early stages may just come up with something that she remembers, other than that, I can only repeat what Forgotmyname says.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Do you know if it was a fully paid up front plan

if so, you could try ringing from the list above, whilst also going through banks statements as suggested.
Or a pay monthly, Sunflife seems to be the most advertised one.

Cheers all, I'll try calling around - I know they had them, I saw the paperwork about three years ago.0

I had this problem when lost Mum last year.
Try phoning Dignity.

They run the largest proportion of funeral plans in the country, including those branded as Age Concern etc.
You will also be surprised at who owns all the funeral directors.....even that 'little family run business round the corner'.
Also, if you know which funeral director they wanted to use - phone them. They will probably be owned by the company who the plan is with.
You WILL be limited to choice of funeral director if they have a funeral plan.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
