Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should

i got a letter from him 10 days ago (just trying to type a reply now) stating that i agreed to the fees - verbally.
i have signed nothing and as far as i know ex husband didnt either.
i have copied some info from the replies so i hope thats ok.

From my experience such high fees from a financial advisor usually result in them paying you the commission for the products. Alternatively they keep the commission and you pay a much lower fee.
May not be the case in all situations but it certainly has been for me.0 -
got a letter today telling me if i dont pay he is taking me to court for £1200 and expenses.
he got the £1290 a few months ago so in total he is expecting nearly £2500.0
