Software to Monitor Savings and Investments

I have several savings accounts with different banks and building societies + other assets such as stocks and shares. Basically, I looking for up to date software which works on Windows 8 where I can monitor the value of these items on one page. It would be useful to have additional features such as the ability to produce reports and graphs so I can see how much, for example, net worth has increased over time.

[I used to record all of this info. on an old version of Quicken - unfortunately this is incompatible with Windows 8 and the latest version of Quicken is unnecessarily complex (ie contains features I don't need) and expensive.]

Looking for recommendations. Thanks. :)

I happily use an ancient copy of Microsoft Money for the exact purpose you describe. I have over 50 accounts to monitor, and MS Money does it brilliantly - although sometimes I'd like online connection to my accounts, which now only works for a handful of banks/BSs.

There's been another thread today about replacements for MS Money - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4574215. Might give you some other ideas.

I tried about five packages last month and finally decided on Moneydance:
    http://moneydance.com/

It's got a nice Home screen showing all my accounts at once plus some good reports and graphing options. They do a free trial so see if you like it.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my marbles the most.

Good news - problem solved. Quicken S.E. v6 doesn't work with Windows 8 but I had a dig around and found a copy of Quicken 2001 which does!

Thank you to all for your help. :)

You can still download MS Money and the version works with share and fund prices as well. As it is out of support it is now a free download direct from MS - you can't get cheaper than that!

I don't need to download MS Money - - - the version I have is perfectly sound.

The downloads I was talking about are downloads of account/statement data. Some are still working but it's very patchy now, so I have decided to just completely ignore any downloads.

The rest of MS Money works brilliantly- - basically it's a well-developed spreadsheet, with all the recording options I would expect (actual and planned transactions, DDs, SOs etc), and all the reports I normally need. If I need a more sophisticated report/analysis, I just dump the lot into Excel and take it from there.

Never thought I'd find myself defending the virtues of a piece of MS Software, but here I am - - MS money is brilliant! Who knows, may be not least because they didn't mess about with it for half a decade now.

Completely agree. You can see why they didn't make any money out of it when a 14 year old version (I had Money 2000) was still working perfectly so no need to buy any upgrades. It might be useful as a free comparison for the OP though as I still find it great.
