I have two domains, but only require one website.

Lets call the first site, which is now up and running mywebsite1.co.uk

Now I have another domain, lets say 'extraname.co.uk' which I want to link to the first. I know there is a way to automatically transfer any internet surfer from this to the former site, but I forget how. I did it a few years ago.

If somebody types in extraname.co.uk, they are taken to mywebsite1.co.uk

Can anybody help please ?

Logon to your Domain name provider. You should be able to setup a redirect from there.

It all depends what facilities your domain registrar and web host provide you.

What you want to do is a 301 (perm) or 302 (temp) redirect. Some hosts allow you to do this via their control panels. With others you will need to set it up manually using .htaccess if on Apache or by other means if your on IIS
  • Just log on to domain provider.

A simple http redirect is what you need - Google it for a simple solution
