I recently contacted dell support and was told the issue is with thesoftware and is not under guarantee if I need to have it fixed and to pay. Not too happy about this as computer dell inspiron 660 is only 6 months old. When I did a serach on run "netstat" I have over 24 networks open, the lady from sky told me I should get somebody to remove them. Is there anything I can do to remove them or do I need to get professional help? Thanks

software or isp problems are nothing to do with the hardware manufacturer. You don't have to pay anything, because you can backup and do a factory restore if it really is a software problem
start from the beginning. what is the problem.
which operating system, how did it start, what software firewall is in use, is it a wireless problem, have you got antivirus installed if so which, have you tried a wired connection, do other machines work, have you tried a system restore, have you tried with the firewall off, which browser, have you tried another browser. post a hijackthis log.
having connections open in netstat is normal, but it depends what things.!!
