I keep trying to reset my spellcheck facility in MS Word 2003 as it's missing words which are obviously spelt wrong (not the American spelling either) but i keep getting a message that the spell check is complete. It isn't! What can I do? I haven't marked these words as ok in the past, and anyway the reset facility is supposed to overcome that. Any advice gratefully received.

In Word go:-
Tools
Options
Tab “Spelling and Grammar”
Recheck document.I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes. :doh:0 -
Try this... Press Ctrl+A to select all the text in the document. Then click Tools - Language - Set Language. Select English (UK) and untick 'Do not check spelling or grammar' and 'Detect language automatically'. Click Default, then Yes. Now press F7 to rerun the spell check.0

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the spell and grammar check, it's not really very accurate and gives lots of suggestions that are incorrect!! I think too many people are becoming reliant on this, which of course is very American based.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0
