                    Hi there,
I have purchased an item for a seller on eBay, and today they have messaged me to say that the item was returned to them and that they will not be refunding me and that I will not get the item unless I pay another £10 postage.
My address on the invoice is totally correct and I receive parcels every day, so it can't be anything my end.
I can open a case on May 3rd, but does anyone know if I will get my money back?
ETA: No attempt to deliver the item has been made.

You cannot know if delivery was attempted, many couriers and Royal Mail seem to 'forget' to leave cards.
However, if you do an INR claim you will get a full refund. Before doing that though tell the seller you would rather have a full refund now, don't just open a case on them without warning, they are probably as frustrated as you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have contacted the seller, she is just being totally defensive, and won't provide any proof such as the item that has been returned, proof of postage etc. because the tracking number she has supplied could be for any parcel anywhere in the UK, as the RM website doesn't confirm anything like that.
Looks like I will just have to open a case and leave feedback accordingly, sigh. I really wanted the item!0

this will/should show the delivery office it was returned from0

I'm not sure if the OP's parcel was sent on a tracked or recorded service - it's not mentioned in the first post.http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails

I am a seller, and this happens all the time. It's nearly always that the postie didn't bother to leave a card.0
