True but I'd rather pay for delivery and get better service to be honest.
Problem is that we don't pay enough for a decent delivery service whether in the form of a £3.95 delivery fee or built into the cost of the product. Most couriers struggle to make profits so we have the system we have.
No courier will be the first to increase their prices substantially for a better service. It would be commercial suicide for the first adopter. When you have a man and van making 90-100 deliveries per day where each parcel has paid between £2 to £10+ per drop and that is probably a revenue of £500-750. Take off wage bills, van leasing, insurance, DIESEL, warehousing, other staff, HGV's computers, etc etc and not a lot is leftover. The man without a signature.0 -
and customers must realise cheap/free deliveries don't always get you the best carriers
They used to be excellent for business users though which I why I dont understand how the fell off so quickly. All our mobiles used to be delivered by them years ago and it was always next day at the time they said. Same with us using them. Then they just went down hill. Probably going for the apparent easy money of doing other customers rather than focusing on their core business which they were good at"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

Royal Mail do a pretty good job, better than any courier I've ever had dealings with, as a customer.0 -
Dear Better Capital
We attempted delivery at 12:41 this afternoon (when nowhere near you), however nobody was in (even though there was). The driver ran out of missed-delivery cards.
Kind Regards

Who in their right mind would send money by City Link, especially £26m?If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?
