N Power problems, seemingly impossible to resolve

I've just received a bill from NPower's collection department for £244. I set up a DD with NPower about 6 months ago, after having had to jump through hoops with them after they made a mess of my initial attempts to switch to DD.

I'm going to call them to resolve this, however I am less than happy.

Is there a direct complaints number? I'd also like to give them an up to date meter reading as this might bring the bill down.

I'm considering taking my business elsewhere as soon as this is resolved.

You'll find details of the nPower complaints procedure (and how to contact them) on their website and on the bill you received. ;)

Why do you write in the thread title this is "seemingly impossible to resolve", when you don't even appear to have tried yet?
