One more question if I may:
I have the P2 and I can see that the Married Couples Allowance is 3853.
On the reverse, it says "You get the married couple's allowance of 770.50 by having 3853.00 included in your tax free amount".
What's the relationship between the figures of 770.50 & 3853.000 -
3853.00 not taxed at 20% = 770.50 tax saved0

Have you read link in 12 above?
Also through second link in 3 above http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/incometax/married-allow.htm
http://www.taxvol.org.uk/faq.htm and http://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php might be worth a look.
It might be worth checking with HMRC that no adjustment is required.0 -
Thanks for all the pointers / links posted.
It would appear that all calculations appear to be OK0
