Buyer not turned up and not paid

I'm a new seller of some recently inherited items and on another thread I posted about a buyer who had won an item with a 99p bid over a week ago and then failed to turn up to two appointments at times he suggested. Each time I had to go to the house which is being cleared and waited a few hours. Each time he made an excuse at the last minute.
Now I understand I can put this through ebay as NPB but really I just want finished with him and I'll let the item (a large tv) go to the Heart Foundation with some other items this week but I don't want any comeback.
So what is the best course of action? Do I have to contact him to give him one final chance or can I just dispose of it now how I wish?

You could tell him that the house has to be cleared by end of today or tomorrow and you have now arranged for the TV to be collected by a charity because he hasn't collected as arranged.
Say you're sorry but have no other option. He would be pretty heartless to neg you in those circumstances.
Because it was only 99p you wouldn't have to bother with a NPB or mutual cancellation.0 -
Thanks for that. I've sent him a text with the wording you suggested and I hope that's now the end of it. It will be such a relief if it is.
All the other buyers have been great and the house is nearly cleared but when I am stressed due to the situation I dread confronting people!0
