Probably because he has a better photo than yours. It can be as simple as that.

Try clicking "sell one like this" on his listing.

He also has much more feedback and is selling other similar material.

  • Also the other seller gives some more information and has a higher feedback level which some people may prefer. Also you post "This is a UK listing. I will only ship to the UK. DO NOT BID if your PayPal address is not in the UK." which would put me off as it comes across a bit angry sounding.

    Thanks Jamie

But I have 3 photos, and mine actually includes more than his- mine is the full item with case and accessories.

I should have said that this listing was produced from a "Sell one like this" from another one hat sold for a similar amount.

All I can honk of is that there is something in the listing that is not resulting in many hits on searches.

    Thanks Theoretica and Littlestars

I've sold a number of photographic items - but not built up as much feedback yet.

I tend to agree about the do not bid statement - but even though I listed it as UK only I've had messages fro Russia and the Ukraine asking for shipping costs- both these bidders had US ebay accounts. I thought that listings are only viewable in the UK. But I guess it means they are only available on ebay.co.uk but non UK members can still view.

I'll improve the description if I decide to relist.

High value items and a feedback of only 36 will see people being cautious.

Paying extra rather than getting risk getting ripped off.

4 private listings. Enough to put me off also.

  • You can change your preferences when listing which should cut out some of the timewasters, but while i agree with what you say the other seller comes across as helpful inviting people to ask questions. Sometimes the wording and tone can be extremely important as well as people will tend to avoid sellers that seem like they have an attitude problem. But giving more of a description will help as well.

    Thanks for the help.
I'm a bit confused about "Private listing" I haven't checked that box in the listing???
