Breakfast In Edinburgh

Options
Will be coming to Edinburgh in June to do the Moonwalk and one thing that will keep me going is a slap up breakfast after OH and I complete the course.

So where's the best place to head for?

Depends what your looking for really and where your staying?

One place in my area is Bijou Bistro, has been pretty busy for breakfasts recently, so if you decide to go there, book before hand!

Nobles bar is also a good place and their french toast with bacon and mayple syrup is a personal fav :D

Never tried Bijous - must add that to my to do list!
  • Thanks for all the replies.

We're staying at the Caravan Club site just outside the centre of Endinburgh but the moonwalk is starting / fininshing at Leith Links so I've booked a table for later on Sunday at the Bijou Bistro

(Weirdly enough the chef is also taking part lol!)

Hopefully now I'll be able to stay awake to enjoy it!

Nice, if it's the tall short haired guy (there's 3 chef's (that I've seen)), then he's an awesome guy and a good chef!

    Enjoy :D

I live facing the links and Bijou is at the end of the street I live in, I've never been in but it's always busy. If it wasn't so late at night I might have come out to support you. The 8th of June is also leiith's gala day so it'll probably be raining :rotfl:, make sure you have your waterproofs with you.

Hiya :hello:, I keep meaning to go but I've never gotten round to it, I remember it opening and wondering what the hell they were thinking of and that it would never take of, show's how wrong I was lol, it's like the pub on Duke street never thought that would survive. We are meant to be the place for people to come and live now in Edinburgh, close to town but without the house prices.

Hence why I live there! Lived in Fife until August (not from Edinburgh or fife mind you).

Well given that your along the road, highly recommended Bijou, even for their morning rolls, staff are friendly.

As for the pubs on Duke street, some are open at the crack of dawn and the bar flies stand outside even earlier! Pretty sure one or two of them open at 6am, not a good sight when your running past!

Do I sense a little bit of a crush there lol! When I booked I got the impression it was a female chef that was taking part but he'd be more than welcome (I think hubby is going to feel a little outnumbered otherwise....and yes he is donning his bra!)

Okay if I'm not to piddled and can stay awake I'll be out to offer support :p, we always have family over to stay the night of the gala day so I might be just a little bit worse for wear.
