Historic share prices

Options
Hi,
Can anyone suggest where I can find the price of certain shares on a particular date in the year 2000?
Thanks in advance,
Mark.

I wouldn't trust those Yahoo historical prices. Many of them seem incorrect (particularly for very old prices).

Try the historical prices on Google Finance, it seems more accurate.

Google and Yahoo are fine although I wouldn't trust them if I needed share prices for capital gains etc.
Your library may have access to the Stock Exchange Daily Official List, we do in Essex. Otherwise/also your library may subscribe to the Times Digital Archive and as this is a facsimile of the newspaper you will find share prices (up to 2007). Usually, if your library subscribes you can access the database from home, using your library card.
