    The apps he is proposing have logging functions so you don't even need to look at the phone and/or he's hoping the OP will use some common sense with using the phone.

    What many people don't know about these is that the water pump does not work all the time a solenoid pulls the belt in to rub against the water pump pulley when the water gets to hot this is why they are such a pain to bleed he radiator when they are cold I would check that he solenoid is working and not stuck they are a right pain to bleed if the coolant has been lost or drained etc.
