Kobo Arc - update firmware?

We have a Kobo Arc running Android 4.04. Apparently there is an update out that gets rid of glitches etc (4.1) but when I check for updates it says there are none available. And after googling, I am none the wiser. Is there a way of forcing an update?

Hi,
Apparently the update has been pulled as it was causing problems with Google Movies. There doesn't seem to be any indication of when it will be available again.

From reading a few threads, it appears that a lot of people do not like the update - even going as far as downgrading.
