Advice Required with Motor Insurance Company.

Hello,
My partner is insured with Admiral Bell under their young driver's policy (meaning they install a little black box to collect and analysis data on the way that she drives).
The original policy was cheaper than any of the competitors by at least £700, however, since the policy was originally taken out she has had a number of amendments made month after month:
1: Due to using the car to drive to and from work.
2: Her estimated average mileage was readjusted.
3: She had a small accident, for which she was to blame.
Which has now increased her monthly payments to £189 (from £108).
Increasing the policy due to the above reasons seemed fair, but a little exmpensive, so we started to look at what we thought were competitive insurance companies (Diamond and Admiral) who, with the same details that Bell hold, offered us about £750 for the year (£62.50 a month).
When we attempted to cancel the policy with Bell to go with one of their sistering/parent companies, we were told that due to her accident we would have to pay out the remainder of the policy in full. I have never had an accident, however, when I have cancelled policies in the past I am generally offered a refund for the outstanding balance. Have other people experienced/know of a similar situation to this?
In addition, we later discovered that Bell, Admiral and Diamond are all a part of the Admiral Group; With that in mind we decided to get a new quote from Bell using the exact same details that are being used on the current policy, and they quoted us £650 for 10 months (£1240 less than what we are currently paying for the exact same policy).
I have emailed Bell Complaints and the customer services sector of Admiral Group to try and dispute the two figures, but we have not received a response.
Doe's anyone have an advice on this situation, or is the only solution to wait out the remainder of the policy?
Thank you, and sorry for the long post.

They are correct, when a claim has been made on the policy there will be no refund.
With the cheaper quotes were you including the higher mileage and the recent accident?0 -

I thought as much, I just wasn't entirely sure.
And yes we increased the estimated mileage to what the insurance company had amended the policy to as well as including the accident, the price Bell quoted and that the fault was my partners. I am not really sure on our options £189 a month is extortionate.
Thanks for response
