Please be careful if you receive an email coming from Australian discount online store DirectBargains.com.au, you should verify the link before clicking on it, since it may actually be a fake email to trap you designed by cybercriminals.
Lula Snidger has been through one variant that offers ipad mini for only $40 Australian dollars. Below is the exact format, have a look.
“Crazy Ipad Mini offer ever! Buy the fabulous Ipad Mini for only $40 AU. Click here to get your Apple Ipad Mini. Do not miss the best offer ever on [link],” the bogus alert reads.
This above link doesn’t point to DirectBargains, but to a replica of the site’s login page. Here, victims are requested to provide all sorts of information, including passwords, credit card numbers and other financial details.
The product and the domain address on which the malicious website is stored might change. This is why you must be very careful and read thoroughly when coming across such emails.
