Excellent customer service experienced at Costa Coffee Rugley yesterday.
My little grand daughter (4 years old) managed to overturn the tray with my coffee and her baby chinno chocolate on it.
She covered herself with chocolate drink, and in my panic I thought she had scalded herself with my coffee.
I just panicked, and ran to the toilet to apply cold water, she was almost hysterical (so was I really). The toilet was engaged, so I banged on the door and yelled that I needed cold water!
The manageress came to our rescue and took us into the kitchen, the staff started running the cold tap, and someone handed me an ice pack.
I asked grand daughter where it was burning, at which point she said 'Nanny I'm not burned, I'm just upset coz this is my favourite dress'.
:rotfl:
Relieved I apologised for the fuss and thanked the manageress, who was very nice about the whole thing, cleared the mess up, and bought the little one a new drink, and 4 marshmallows and flakes to 'Cheer her up'. It certainly did, as she had only one marshmallow with the first drink!
All FOC.
Very pleased, they could not have been nicer or kinder.:T
