Have you considered conditioner only washing for a while to let your hair recover?

I wet my hair & apply Phillip Kingsley elastizer at night.
I get up in the morning & shampoo out with Phillip Kingsley shampoo.
I then do a second shampoo with Wen, it's a cleansing conditioner.

Wen is susposed to be used as a solo shampoo, but I like lather & I don't like conditioner, so using PK followed by Wen works for me.
