Android app for running

I'm looking for an app for my S3 mini for when I'm running. I already use mapmyrun to show distance, times etc, but I'm now changing my training and would like an app I can program to alert me at different stages. E.g. jog 15 minutes, run 10, walk 5, jog 15, run 10. I'd like it to alert me at each split and if possible tell me what I'm supposed to do.

Hope this makes sense.

    I looked for one like that a while ago and couldn't find anything. Admittedly I only searched the free versions so there may be a paid option available. I use Edmondo and I love it, unfortunately it doesn't do what you are looking for.

    What you could use to help with this is the NHS C25K podcasts, they are for beginners where they train to run / walk but they do tell you when the time is nearly up on a section and when to change to the next activity. I have use these in the past for timing splits.

    You might even find one that does close to the example you have stated.

  • Try Runkeeper which is free. See what you think of that. I think its the most comprehensive running app out there.

    I use Endomondo Pro (paid app) and it will do what you want as long as you are happy to swap your terminology:

    run = High intensity
    jog = Medium intensity
    walk= Low intensity
