Does anyone have anything good to say about Think Money?

That's it, really!
I'm beginning to suspect that they're my only solution and I'll have to suck up the fee.
Co-op are closing my account for having three returned DDs, can't go to Nationwide as about five years ago I inadvertently racked up charges when I failed to cancel a DD. I didn't realise (being an idiot) that this could happen with a Flex account.
Any ideas?

They may be the only option for some people unable or unwilling to manage their finances, but I feel they should be the very last resort. If money is so tight, the £150+ pa fees would be better put to your budget.
Perhaps stick to a building society account, without direct debits?0 -
There are other banks worth trying before them I reckon.0

OP how many charges does it need before you see the light?
How much goods could you have purchased with your bank charges over the last few years?0 -

Give CitiBank a go.
(Citibank Plus Current Account)
If you don't pay in £1800 a month, an £8 fee will apply, but it's still cheaper than some of these other rip off banks - and gives you full banking facilities including an offline debit card.
Select "no overdraft" though.
Seem to accept anyone who doesn't owe them money.0 -
Thanks everyone.
I will report back0 -
NatWest / RBS both offer 'Overdraft Control' on their Select current accounts.
It's free and will make it hard for you to overdraw as transactions that would otherwise allow this to happen will be declined.
Otherwise, how about 2 basic accounts with one just for bills and the other for spending? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
