I asked about a new printer some weeks ago when my existing one would not print black. However I have been dragging my heels but now looking at EPSON XP405 AT £49.99
EPSON XP 600 AT 79.99 AND THE EPSON XP605 AT £69.99 I think
I have looked and all now have compatible inks I have used JetTec for a long time ordering on line
Would appreciate your opinions.
I only use the printer for home use so not doing a great deal of printing.
Thanks again for the anticipated information

I bought an Epson XP-405 a couple of weeks ago, £49.99 in Argos.
I find it perfectly ok for everyday home use.0 -

See if you can find an SX235W in Argos, though you need to watch they do not give you an XP Printer instead as although compatibles are starting to appear, they are still expensive by comparison.

Nothing wrong with the XP Printers apart from the expensive compatibles0 -

Only ask as I'm looking into getting one and haven't really seen any reviews on CIS.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

I have had one fitted on my Canon iP1600 for some months now and it has been faultless. Not only does it drastically reduce the cost of ink - but the ink colours seem to be better that the Jet tec bulk ink I was using before to refill my cartridges. It most be getting on for 6 months now and I estimate that I have used about one third of the ink in the bottles.
The fitting instructions weren't in the best English in the world but if you study it for a while it does become clear.
I WILL most definitely buy another of these - the first criterion for a new printer would be - "will it take a CIS system"

Many thanks for taking the time to post back. Added bonus of a pic as well
Looks like I need to start saving my money so I can save money! If that makes any sense.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Apology for the delay in getting back to you. I am now considering the ones suggested by you from Argos. Looked today but not available in my local store. Will keep an eye open or else will order online. Out of stock also for online order.
Thanks again
