Hi all
I have not scanned my PC for over a year now and I was wondering what software people would suggest using?
Currently I have Malwarebytes pro & Avast installed and what I used to do was to install spybot and then log into safe mode to scan before running Malwarebytes and Avast - is this still a good system to use?
Reason I am asking is that in the space of 5 minutes avast has informed me of 4 trojan alerts when using internet explorer.
Thanks for any help

the mistake you're making is only scanning in safe mode, if you'd been doing it in normal they probably would have been found faster...and a year's a looong time not to run MBAM...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

I agree I should have ran scans way before now before waiting for problems to show.
What I have done in the past is ran the various scans in safe mode and then ran them in normal mode afterwards before doing an avast boot time scan.
What would you recommend I do instead?0 -
just run in normal, and if avast is warning you it's blocking stuff, it's doing it's job

Thanks for the reassurance and the help.
Off to run some scans on my pc0 -
If you have the Pro version of Malwarebytes why not schedule a weekly/monthly scan?
Just set-it-and-forget-it.0
