Credit Card Consumer- are you still covered if you terminate your credit card?

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this.
I purchased a future holiday on a Nationwide 0% credit card- the 0% period is now up and i have cleared the card. Normally i would now terminate the credit card and leave it a month or two and apply for a new 0% deal card.
However i'd like to ensure i still have the section 75 consumer act cover for the holiday incase anything comes up between now and then. Does anyone know if you still have this cover even if you have since closed the actual credit card, or does it only apply to open credit cards?

Section 75 protection remains, even after you've closed the account.

But are you covered anyway? ie is there a pre-existing D-C-S relationship?

Not sure about 'chargeback', but would imagine that remains an option too...so long as you notify the card provider within the requisite 120 day timescale (of becoming aware of an issue).
