Heya
Terribly sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I am a college student who's on her second year of full time study who is currently seeking part time employment, but I was wondering, if anyone could recommend anything to me that I could do that I could fit around my studies? As am hoping to take a level 3 course next year (2 years) and want to be able to earn extra money in a flexible way.
Thanks again

do you like pets? if so stick an ad on gumtree to advertise that you dog walk or pet sit. From £8 an hr dog walking and £10 a day pet sitting. or babysitting less fun!!
good luck!0 -
Depending on what you do, see if anyone needs a demonstrator. Those tend to be short term gigs that can require some juggling around courses but pay very well.

The Student Union usually has some sort of jobs going, particularly if it runs a bar. Ask the Careers Services: mine were brilliant for helping me find something that truly suited (and saved my bacon). Don't turn your nose up at jobs with unsociable hours, either.
I've been fortunate enough to land a job on campus with very flexible hours. Even so, it's challenging to find the time for my research in the busiest times. :P However, the wind from my pay cheque dries my tears...
Being able to say "let's solve this problem with money" is the most awesome thing ever! It's worth the hassle.LBM: June 2023. Amount owed: ~£10,000I've gone debt free before, I can do it again!0 -
Does your uni offer jobs as ambassadors? many unis do and these are casual jobs helping at open days etc
also does your uni have a careers board/uni link?
when I was a student I was an ambassador, mentor and supervisor in the arts block at night. if you haven't already check out the uni website. may be catering jobs if your uni is a biggish one..0 -
Match betting ..As long as you are not in halls ,as it will make your address details tricky ..My son does it to up his income at uni ( I did it too ) ..if you have a computer and an internet connection ..you just need to read and get your head around it.

Join your local NHS bank staff (may also be known as TSO - Temporary Staffing Office). You'll get lots of offers for shifts, and can pick the ones you want to work.I have no signature.0

Have you looked into working for an agency? I worked for one who provided staff for banquets and music gigs to serve food or drinks while I was a student. It was good because the shifts were at different times and while it meant you quite often couldn't accept one because of classes, lots were in the evening or at the weekend too. There was no feeling of being tied to a particular rota.
Also so big music/exhibition/event venues have similar flexible/casual staff that they employ themselves.0
