Cannot seem to pay for collection only item

I purchased two garden chairs and the listing stated collection in person whic is fine. I have attempted to pay for the item via Paypal and I get a message stating that I am unable to pay as the seller has not listed a postage amount for delivery.

Surely there would not be postage value as the seller has stated collection only which I am happy with as local.

Any ideas how I can get around this please?

Thank you

Pay in cash when you collect them
There is very limited paypal protection on collected items

I thought that all the risk with PayPal payment for collected items lies with the seller.

The buyer gets full PayPal Buyer's Protection (to the point where they could even fraudulently claim non-delivery, and PayPal will find in their favour due to the lack of a tracked method of delivery).

In this case, the OP is the buyer, so there would be no risk whatsoever in paying by PayPal.

Probably why the seller has set the auction in this way to stop buyers paying via paypal and therefore protecting themselves, I have just heard of a lady who let an iphone 5 get collected from a person who paid paypal, then went home and opened a dispute as INR, the seller can't prove it was collected!

OP ~ Just pay cash on collection, if you have the money in paypal it doesn't take very long to withdraw nowadays!
