AA Lines are all busy...

Just had a quote through for next year's AA cover, found it cheaper with the RAC through quidco so rang up to cancel...

Selected the option to leave and got "all the lines are busy, please call back another time". No option to hold, it just hung up on me.

I called back and selected the renew option instead and magically the lines weren't busy and I got through immediately.. almost as though they wanted to make it one step harder to leave!

I used the AA many years ago, believing them to be an impartial and reasonably independent broker of car insurance for their members. They recommended an insurance company I had never heard of before, and like a fool I followed their advice and took cover with their recommended insurer. About a month later the insurer went bust, forcing me to arrange cover elsewhere. My suspicion was that the AA were basing their advice to me on their commission income, rather than whats best for the me . I would never, ever use them again.
