RBS account but moving to England.

I'm shortly moving from Scotland down to England. At present I have a saving account with debit card with RBS. There is no RBS branch I my new town but I believe RBS own NatWest. Would I be able to access my RBS account at NatWest. I expect it wouldn't be a problem to use ATM and my debit card to make cash withdrawals but it was depositing money that I wasn't sure about.

You can use your debit card in any UK ATM. But I doubt you can get any counter services for RBS accounts at any Natwest branch. Best ask RBS/Natwest.0

If you can bear the hassle it might be worth considering opening a new current account south of the border. Several outfits offer you payments to open new accounts with them. Or interest on the new account.Free the dunston one next time too.0

As at about 6 months ago, seems this wasn't possible. A friend of mine banked with RBS, couldn't be fagged travelling 10 miles to branch to make a deposit, so tried his luck at Natwest. Computer said no, and staff at Natwest were quite amused by his reasoning. Maybe they haven't got the memo0 -
Yup, I use Natwest when I have no access to RBS. There is a limit on withdrawals though.0
