To the OP if you only want to clean a mildly dirty car once a week then do not spent ££££££ you can pick up some basic pressure washers for as little as £30-40 ( Try B&Q or Karcher outlet) If you want to test the water with out the pain :-)

buying slightly dearer will allow you to use bits of add on accessories.........

I have just upgraded from cheap units like the 'champion' ones , again £30-40, to a Karcher from their outlet store ... £49ish it came with a patio adaptor that cuts down the work time by 2/3 rds!

You will still prob need the bucket & sponge for the bits missed ..... but as people have said the washer comes in handy for other things :-)
