eBay buyer thinks item isn't genuine ?

I've never had this issue before using ebay.

I recently sold a pair of brand new converse without the box on eBay that were customised with diamonds.

I brought them on eBay back in February for my self they came in original box, but where they had obviously been at the post office a few days the box was damaged and squashed so I binned the box.

The shoes were infact to big so I resold them.... I provided anaccurate description etc with many pictures of different angles of the shoes.

Today I recieved an email from the new buyer.

Asking me if the converses were real or not as she has another pair and they look nothing like the pair she already has.

I'm a little bit baffled and unsure on what to do next?

I've emailed her explaining pretty much all the above.

Just looking for advice on how you would approach this, as I've never experienced this before

Thankyou

    Too vague.

In what way? Logos? Because of the added diamonds?

    :)

If you bought them on eBay yourself there a chance they could be fake. We were in Egypt before Christmas and fake converse were everywhere with tourists buying up a storm for £5 a pair.
They are very good fakes but if you put them side by side with genuine ones there are subtle differences.

I'm still waiting for a reply from the buyer

    Thankyou for your help
  • Before I sent them I could tell no difference between my new ones and these ones in question only when turned over the underneath sole of shoe was different, so went to my local foot asylum after work and the high tops there had exactly the same sole as the high tops I've sold.

    Thankyou for your replies x

You wont see a difference with soles, the differences are subtle, poor stitching in parts, logos slightly off center. The fakes come in Converse boxes with Converse labels, they are THAT good.

But surely that could be the case with any converse sold on eBay, if so everyone would think they should get a refund and just say there fake for the sake of it,I'm really unsure in what to do, I emailed her back this morning and she still hasn't replied

The problem you have is because you didn't buy them from a guaranteed source you can't guarantee they are genuine.
It's a difficult one, not sure how it goes with eBay and fakes these days whether you have to prove them genuine or your buyer has to prove they are fake but someone will clarify shortly for you I imagine.
  • Whilst sorting through my ebay reciepts I decided to check when the parcel arrived at this ladies house a is sent it second class recorded on the 25th.

Well I've typed the barcode in that I was given and it still says it hasn't been delivered yet..... If so why is she questioning there fake, when they haven't even been delivered to her yet ?

This is what it says when I type in the barcode

Item KF011517334GB was posted at 129 Singlewell R DA11 7QA on 25/04/13 and is being progressed through our network for delivery.

I'm bit unsure on what to believe now? Has she really received them or is she only now regretting ever buying them? X
