Scarifier not working

I've got a wolf UV 32 E electric scarifier that I have just gone to use and it is not working - there appears to be no power going to it - I have changed the fuse but its dead as a dodo - any chance anyone has an idea what it may be (it's an old but good quality machine).:(

Break in power lead, faulty power switch, corrosion of plug or connection or motor armature, worn brushes.
If you're asking, I'm assuming you're not familiar with repairing electrical appliances and would advise you have a competent person look at it.

You're right there badrick - I just thought I'd ask in case it was blindingly obvious to someone - I'd checked the cable, connection etc as its a very basic machine - I'll take one more look at it now and then if no joy I'll have to take it in for repair.
    Thanks for your response:beer:
