I downloaded paint shop pro x5 trail, I liked it and purchased the disk from PC world, but the disk version is not as good as the download version, also I have lost some of the swatches that I had on the trail version , which are also in paint shop pro x3 which does not work on windows 8.
Has anyone else had this problem. :T

Sorry, can't help with your problem but seeing the mention of Paint Shop Pro put a smile on my face. It's still my favourite final editing tool but I'm talking about the JASC version 8.10

I did try later trial versions after Corel bought out JASC but personally I felt that Corel had ruined a perfectly fine product and so I just stuck with good old faithful 8.10 . It seems quite a lot of photographers have done the same.
I feared it would all end when a few weeks ago I finally had to abandon my dear old XP workstation in favour of a shiny new Dell workstation running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I really didn't expect software that old to run ... but it did ... in Compatibility Mode (XP SP3) it's running fine with one tiny tweak which was to tick the check box to turn off visualisations, whatever they are.
So I'm a happy bunny ... still got my years old work flow going only one heck of a lot faster! :T... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0
