iPad Mini

Thanks to MSE and the wonderful members I was lucky to win an iPad mini, BUT I can't download the manual from Apple. There is some problem with the Adobe that won't open it.
Any kind soul that can help me? Thanks in advance
(I keep looking at the little screen and think is soooooooooooo beautiful...maternal instincts gone crazy ...I guess :rotfl:)
Thanks to those who help us to win !

    Congratulations!

Have you tried downloading the manual on the iPad?

tbh there's not much you need to know, it's quite intuitive. Just plug it in, turn it on with the button on the top left, and it will guide you through setting it up and creating an iTunes account. Press the button on the front of the iPad to go back to the homescreen (with all the apps on).

-The button on the top left will turn it on and put it in standby, if you actually want to turn it off then hold down this button until it says on the screen 'slide to power off' - then slide the bar to power off! Hold the button to turn it on again. If the iPad ever starts acting funny or slow, turn it off then on again.

-Double tap the homescreen button on the front to see all the apps you have running in the background - close these for better performance.

Are you trying to download and open the manual onto your tablet or a pc or laptop? Does the manual download OK? Do you have Adobe Reader (or an alternative) installed on whatever you are using? My initial guess would be that you need to install or update Adobe Reader.

    How do you close them?

Hold your finger down on one of them until they all start to jiggle and get red circles with minus signs on the top left, then lift your finger and tap the red circle on the ones you want to close.

'Jiggle mode' is also how you delete and move apps on the homescreen. Some apps can't be deleted - the default ones like Settings, iTunes, App Store. If you move one app on top of another you can put them in a folder together to help keep things organised.
