Yep that's what it is, a domain is "moneysavingexpert.com". There are plenty of web-host/domain-host out there, to list a few here will be considered as spam, but there are only a few big players.
Most of the domain host will let you forward emails to your GMail account, that's what I did and it does solve my spam issues.
Don't bother with filter, it is as you discovered are limited. The built in spam filter in GMail or Hotmail should be good enough these days to combat spam.0
