Doubt your be able to do anything now.

As pennylane has said that's well over a year old now and it says the seller is in france yet you have a UK address.

Why has your friend left it so long to do anything about it?

Looks like your friend has been stung big time then and after this length of time I doubt even the police would be interested in help.

Sorry to say it but it sounds like the best thing they can do now is learn from it, take it on the chin and move on.

Lets just hope there more careful about future purchases and go through more reputable sellers.

Reunion is a French department so not even sure who has jurisdiction. The seller will be long gone.

So need to put in a claim with EBay if they are NRU then ebay must have been involved.
