Could anyone help please, my friend is desperate! Her son had a bebo account when he was 17/18 or so and posted some really stupid stuff. He's matured now and did brilliantly at uni and has just been offered a great job. BUT his mum randomly put his name in google and his bebo account came up as first hit with the offending words on the front page. Obviously they are mortified as they think this will affect his new job if they see it. They have tried contacting bebo by email, no response. They have tried filling in the "lost email, password" link but it comes back as unrecognised!
I am getting really concerned for them as they are getting frantic with worry over a stupid mistake made years ago. Does anyone know what they can do to close this account down!

The account hasn't been used for about 4 years but it still comes up as the first hit on google, that's why they need it closing down. It only came to light because of the young girl in the news who had to resign her job because of tweets she posted years ago and for some reason my friend put her sons name in google. It's a reference to mild drugs but she's such with worry that if his employer sees this they will terminate his contract. It was a silly thing years ago and he is such a good hard working lad now who anyone would be proud of. They just can't see a way to delete the account or remove from google without log in details!0

Bit of a long shot but since all account recovery seems to rely on the email address.
Assuming he's now using a different email and can't remember the one he used then. Could someone he was friends with at the time have his old address in their address book? I've been using the same one for several years and when someone changes theirs I tend to add the new one but never bother removing the old one.0
