Evening all - turned into a fine and dandy sunny evening here today - even got the washing out.
Sad news is that the little fledgling didn't make it through the nightKept the cat in today and went out this evening to check the garden before letting her out, and found the poor thing by a plant pot. Not sure if it was the shock, the weather last night or lack of food. Gave it a wee burial in the back garden and must remember not to put any bulbs in that spot for the foreseeable future
More positive news is that I've clocked up NSD #15 :j
Had a decorator round to quote for painting the living room, stairs and landing earlier - must admit, adding that to the cost of paint is a bit  (and it doesn't help the paint we want to use, which is what's already there isn't cheap) it's basically two days work for him (a coat per day) but still a lot of money. On the other hand, it will be a good portion of the decorating done and dusted as it's the biggest area to do (have to do all that at once as it's open plan, and ceiling are same colour as the walls so also have to be done)Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

And as for me.....
at close of business last Wednesday I was on 7. Thursday and Friday were both spend days (did a 16 mile round trip walk to an out-of-town shopping centre on Thursday, and did some spending on Friday when I dropped my pushbike off for an overhaul - got some brilliant WhoopsiesHad to take the bike by car as I couldn't get a tyre to inflate though!).
Saturday and Sunday were both NSDs, so that's numbers 8 and 9.
Monday I did a gentle 11.5 mile walk, avoiding shops but without my purse anyway. So that's #10
Tuesday was a lovely 10 mile walk (only 4 miles on roads with very little of that on what I'd class main roads, and almost another 4 alongside the canal - a route now stored away to be used again) without purse and away from shops - so #11
Today I walked the 3.5 miles to collect my bike, then cycled 4 miles home (and then did my bootcamp session this evening!), but as I had to pay for the work done on the bike I also nipped into a new (and large) H0me B@rgains that opened on the complex on Saturday. So no NSD for me today.
