Boots - missing item & discount not applied

I popped out to Boots in my lunch hour on Thursday.
I bought a few cosmetic items & a bottle of water.
I visited the card machine & it gave me a 25% off shampoo/conditioner voucher, I had some other vouchers.
When I got back to the office, I realised the water hadnt been put in the bag, I should have noticed as I was given one of those tiny bags that just carried the cosmetic items & the 25% was applied against the shampoo. I was charged for the water.
I Couldn't go back - my lunch break was over, so I emailed them. The loss of discount voucher was £1 & the water was about 60p. So a £1.60 over charge.
They replied this afternoon, a credit of 300 advantage points.
I think this is a cheek, I should be refunded my overcharge.
Do I email CS back & tell them I want my overcharge in cash, rather than points?

How much are 300 boots points worth?0

you can just use your card to buy something else in boots, so the points are a better deal.0

In boots they pack your bag & you shouldn't need to check they have put all your goods in the bag.
Right...and when you complained, they gave you credit for nearly double the amount you were overcharged. You went on your lunch hour, so it's fairly reasonable to assume that Boots is fairly accessible to you. You can pop in and buy a bottle of water using your Boots card, and you'll still be up on the deal.
Sorry, but I honestly can't see what you're moaning about.0 -
Oh my, seen it all now0
