Battlefield on to windows 8

Trying to install battlefield play 4 free but say I need a 32bit OS instead of 64bit OS. Am demented been at it for days. My laptop Is windows 8. Help please

    Not a Win 8 user, but can you right click on the installation .exe file and see in the dropdown menu something like 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'? If so, click on that and then 'Use recommended settings' and see if that works.

    If you have already managed to get it installed but not run, then again, right click on the shortcut and select Compatibility Mode and then choose the last system it worked on ok.
