On the down side, my lodger is moving out on the 12th, which is a shame as the money help a lot with household expenses..It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand. ~ Brian Stimpson, Clockwise0 -
Hi durham_mim
sorry to hear about your husband's uncle. It is nice to be able to see real life things from the 1930's and the history of it all. Shame he can't tell you about it, why he bought it etc but still must be fascinating.
Who is the executor of the estate? They can contact
http://www.bsa.org.uk/generalpages/whereismybsnow.htm
and they will be able to trace the account and what bank it is with now, and if it has not turned into another bank, then they will be able to advise on how to claim the money, but I believe the executor of the estate needs to do it.
Thanks for the reply Aesop, when you have troubles enough of your own. My father-in-law and sister in law are the executors but they were unsure what to do so I thought I would ask here. My father-in-law lived at this house before he was married and quite a lot of the things belonged to his mum so he can tell a little of the history.Weight loss 0/2st

Its always been nice in the past, but tonight the food was either dry, undercooked or overcooked, and some had been out far too long. Very disappointed. Should have saved my money. Still, it was nice to get out with DH and the kids for a couple of hours (even tho even the kids moaned the food wasn't nice, lol).
Right.... an hours ebaying before bed i think.
Goodnight all! xxx
Oh Counting Pennies, you don't know the half of it... Basically, I work in a catering repair company, and we do a large portion of pubs and restaurants across the UK, including Taybarns and associated businesses. Since I started working there, I haven't been able to eat out pretty much anywhere. I've actually found myself listening out for names of local restaurants just in case we were planning on going out.
Nothing to report on my making money I'm afraid. I mooched around our spare room but there isn't really anything in there to ebay, so that sucked. Still... Got some time left. Might manage a big score before the end of the month. Possibly.Overdraft: £0 of £1750 Repaid // Loan (Car): £1855.65 of £2570 RepaidCredit Card: £35 of £1680 Repaid // Total: £1890.65/£6000SwagBucks: 593 SB's-NSD May: 13/19 Days -//- £5/Day May : £74.03/1550 -

Very quiet on the moneymaking front from me. Gots lots which will probably credit next month.
New phone contract accepted, just wish that they would dispatch the phone so i can trade my old one in and recoup the handset charge.
Gutted that i can't use the clubcard exchange for nappiesthey can be used on clothes though so DS might benefit from a few tshirts.
Got a mystery shop tonight but unsure when that will credit, next month is going to be lucrative lol.
Current total is £43.55/£155.
I have a few £1 coins, might start putting them in a terramundi then i cant spend them!
ETA: phone just arrived!! Still need to wait on sim though0 -
Things have been slow going. I have made about £55.70 so far. I did talk the manager at a large appliance retailer out of £102 worth of delivery charges for white goods that I needed to buy. Does that count??£208.09/£3100

Cetainly does if you put the £102 into savings or off a debt I've been told. Even better if you shopped through Topcashback or Qudico for the items or got free extended warranties?I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I didn't buy through either site unfortunately as I went to the store with the idea that I was not leaving without a discount!!
It was stuff for our new kitchen so the saving went into paying the kitchen fitter. I am going to say that is paying off a debt then!£208.09/£3100 -

Definitely - add it to the list as you'd've had to use your own cash otherwise. :jI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I've got a C1 Scarlet, cheap as chips! Petrol lasts ages, £20 will last me nearly 2 weeks and probably 150-180miles. Tax is £20....a YEAR
and insurance is pretty good. Good nippy little car but not too good going up hills!
