Hi WinterGhosts - I know it won't help you in the short term, but have you joined some of the survey companies, like Shop and Scan, Consumer Pulse? If you can get on with them, the vouchers you earn can be very helpful.
Other ways to make money? do you have old mobiles lying around at home? check out the mobile checker to see if they are worth anything, if they say no, try a company like cashconverters, they may buy it from you. Do you have a printer? what do you do with the cartridges? Have you tried selling them? People sell their empty cartridges on ebay, as companies buy them to refill and sell as refilled cartridges for a profit.
Are you any good at writing? Have you looked at sites like dooyoo?
If vouchers are not practical enough for you, earn enough to sell on and pocket hard cash.
about registering self employed. If you are feeling confused, call them, they are very helpful and will give you advice.

SammyV1 - helloa and welcome. To create a signature like some of us have, goto the top of the page, the green toolbar, click on User CP, then on the left hand side you will see edit signature. A box will pop up when you click on this, put in your signature, add colours, change font, etc. You will find that it will tell you if your signature is too big. click on save at the bottom of the box, hey presto, one signature.
Nicky Noo Na have a look at this board for advice.

sketchingkari - I have seen other people using something, I will scout around and post when I have found it. Sure others would appreciate using it too.
AngelsMadv nice to see you here, have seen you around the boards. Yep, signature is fine, your moneymaking ideas sound good to me.
CP - pleased dr's visit meant it was nothing sinister :T
janiefet see further up in this post how to add a signature. And as for MOC/saving money on shopping, if you put the equivalent that you saved towards a credit card or debt or savings, yes, include it.
Hello and a warm welcome to all newbies, welcome to the thread and well done for signing up. Feel free to check in daily and say hi if nothing else
it is worth trying to read the thread every few days as people post their ideas on how they have made money and something new may pop up so worth getting on board.
Don't worry about asking questions, no questions are silly questions. You can guarantee someone else wants to ask the same question but is too worried about asking.0 -
What are the best survey sites?
We all have our own preferences, and if I asked everyone on this challenge who does them, we would have quite a varied list on here.
Popular ones are pinecone, swagbucks, gifthulk, valued opinions, maximiles, onepoll, for some yougov, crowdology, panelbasenet, ipsos, newvistalive.
other ways to make money?
sell on facebook selling pages, rather than ebay or other similar sites,
do you have old mobiles/cameras/other items you never use anymore. used cartridges, coins from holidays abroad? check links on first post on how to make money from it.0 -

I am off the starting blocks with £5 from Halifax rewards and £30 from npower. They have taken 4 months to sort out my direct debit and I have had to ring them most weeks to chase it up. I was beginning to think they didn't want my money!! So a £30 is a gesture to stop me changing suppliers. I still will be though!Make £5 a day in May £51.05/£1550

Another £5 to add today from Halifax.
Well worth switching accounts for.
My account was setup on the 3rd April got paid £50 on day of opening for using their switching service. All DD and STO were transferred within a fortnight. I only needed to advise my work of the change in bank details. Would definitely recommend anyone who hasn't switched yet to give it a go. Really surprised how quick and easy the switch was.
I'm still using my old current account for daily banking I leave enough in the halifax account to pay all the DD/STO and transfer the rest. I know exactly how much cash I have to spend every month really helps with budgeting.0 -
Kicking today off with an email from Amazon accepting my trade-in and payment of £25.07.
Will be spending the day baking with the kids today who are off for voting day, so will most likely get no ebaying done.
Have a good day everyone. Don't forget to PM me if you want a PC (forest people) invite. Not sure how long the link will last for for the referal invite.
