Chargeback & Bailiff advice - not sure what to do

Hello,

So I followed some advice I found on a Bailiff Help Website because whilst I was out of the country for an extending period of time I received a warrant for a PCN I was trying to fight, the court refused my out of time representation twice which I thought was very unfair as I never did anything wrong originally. I found this website called dealing with bailiffs with lots of bailiff advice and decided to try one of their solutions which was paying the debt then issuing a charge back.

The PCN has been cleared by the council and now the bailiff are threatening to revisit even though I paid the money and then did a charge back to claim back all the made up costs they added on which weren't legal. The Bailiff never made representations to my credit card company so they found in my favour and returned my money.

They added two fake letter costs, they charged over the legal percentage of the original PCN, they charged VAT without issuing a VAT receipt and then they also charged credit card fees which is also against the law for them to do, so I've read. Even after numerous requests for a statement of fees then never once sent me any.

So now they are back after me as they are saying they are still owed money and I'm not sure what to do.

Anyone been through a similar situation?

best wishes

Which bailiff help company was this? Did you follow explicitly their advice? This does not sound at all like the company that is suggested on here as I would think it unlikely they would say pay then claim back.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

If you'd asked earlier then we'd have said go to bailiffadviceonline. I would still suggest you do that and ask Sheila on there for help. That's a proper bailiff help website and costs a tenner for continued help to see your query resolved.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
