Do you mean astro-turf type stuff made of plastic or similar, or laying real grass turf?

    The OP states 'artificial turf'.

I can read too, sometime people don't always type what they mean.
  • We had it laid at our last house, its fab.. would love it at this house too but garden is too big.. maybe one day when i have more funds.
we purchased it online, then the gardener came round, dug up all the old grass, removed stones etc, flattened, then laid a sand base, then the artificial grass then kiln dried sand on top to weigh it down.

Took a few days, wasnt a major job, and i reckon if we do eventually do our garden again that myself and my husband could manage it to cut down on the gardeners cost.

Hope that helps a bit x

    Hi,

I have just laid my artificial grass lawn that I bought from Great Grass artificial grass based in Manchester Greatgrass .co We decided to go for the 35mm Prestige product and I have to say it looks fantastic & feels great as well!!

I installed it DIY, to save on cost. Their website has a useful guide that you can download from the website as a PDF. It includes instructions how to measure the garden properly beforehand & how to install the artificial grass its available at greatgrass .co/how-to-install-artificial-grass

It took me a day to install; but most of that time was spent preparing the ground. Now it's done I'm ready to sit back and never ever have to get the lawn mower out again, I'm even thinking of covering up the weathered decking I have.

If I get the chance, I'll try to upload a photo.
