Yea my solicitor helped me a lot, he had done 2 houses for my mum and dad, 2 for my brother and my mums estate. so he knew me and my family.
It was good to have someone on my side, when everyone was pushing against me for a set completion date, he sorted it out so I got what I wanted.0 -
Of course your mortgage advisor recommended them to you he gets a kick back

£606 including vat is very low! I'd be surprised if you could get it elsewhere for less than that, and if you could I would be wary of the level of service you'd get.0 -
I have a quote for a purchase in front of me, now. It's £449 + VAT for a purchase in Birmingham. Disbursements total £235. Total £773.80.

Does £1,006 sound about right for a £130K purchase? No stamp duty as seller has agreed to pay it.
They are my mortgage advisor's referred solicitor highly recommends them etc...
Thanks
Michelle
Assuming the seller is not a developer but a private individual ...
Has this been declared to your solicitor and your lender? This is a vendor gifted deposit and virtually all, if not absolutely all, lenders will not lend in this situation.0
