Silly me.
I'd say it was the end of a long week but it was a public holiday here yesterday so I can't even blame that!0 -

Other way round!
That makes even less sense! The IMF are going to call the UK in. How? There isn't any mechanism for that to happen.0 -
Sorry... I thought everyone knew, the media have done their visit to death!! They are coming riding into town in next week to 'have a few words with Osborne!'
Didn't you see their call for him to 'change course' and consider Labour's Plan B for Boost ?0 -

Calling the IMF in means requesting a bail out from them.
The IMF visiting for talks is a completely different thing.0 -

Personally I think Christine Legarde should focus on her own country before criticising this one. France are looking like becoming next basket case in Europe. And to think RedEd wants to emulate Hollande0 -

Thank you, yes - on another thread (about theoretically discussing worst case scenarios..... brought on by the 'not necessary AT THE PRESENT comment... )
This thread is about crisis last ditch attempts to save the last remaining shreds of our construction industry which is in triple dip... hence the IMF visit/talks implications. Not a bailout request!!
There is a lot of pent up demand money to be made - why arent we making it? Banks wont lend under Osborne, no confidence in him or the length of the coalition term. All on hold now, thumb twiddling time while we fight an election.... meanwhile people are homeless and the bill is costing billions.0
